Yes it is on the increase, i would even say there is little difference now between the JW and "the world" in marriage problems..

Is divorce and family break down on the increase in the organization?
by truthseeker invery often the society will write in their magazines that divorce and family breakdown are on the increase in the world.. in my congregation, there have rbeen two recent cases of adultery.
in both cases, the brothers were elders and their wives were regular pioneers.. from my observations and those of others on this forum it would seem that divorce and extramarital affairs are on the increase in the organization.. it's also true that we're all human and make mistakes - but if you're serving jehovah whole souled and putting him first, how is it these things happen?.

If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race ... you're a male chauvinist. If you stay home and do the housework ... you're a pansy. If you work too hard ... there's never any time for her. If you don't work enough ... you're a good-for-nothing bum. If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay ... this is exploitation. If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay ... you should get off your lazy behind and find something better. If you get a promotion ahead of her ... that is favouritism. If she gets a job ahead of you ... its equal opportunity.
If you mention how nice she looks ... its sexual harassment. If you keep quiet ... its male indifference. If you cry, you're a wimp. If you don't ... you're an insensitive bastard. If you make a decision without consulting her ... you're a chauvinist.
If she makes a decision without consulting you ... she's a liberated woman. If you ask her to do something she doesn't enjoy ... that's domination. If SHE asks you ... it's a favour. If you appreciate the female form and frilly underwear ... you're a pervert. If you don't ... you're gay.
If you like a woman to shave her legs and keep in shape ... you're sexist. If you don't ... you're unromantic. If you try to keep yourself in shape ... you're vain. If you don't ... you're a slob. If you buy her flowers ... you're after something. If you don't ... you're not thoughtful. If you're proud of your achievements ... you're full of yourself. If you don't ... you're not ambitious. If she has a headache . she's tired. If you have a headache ... you don't love her anymore.

I did know one that I could call a Jezebel. She was an elder' s wife and she really did manipulate them, so was not a nice woman. A real trouble maker, she used to consel everyone, tell them how and when to count their time, etc..etc......everyone was afraid of her, except me. She wasn't young and she even got the Elder to take off 10 years from her age on her Publisher Card, I noticed this was I was the secretary's assitant, and I corrected her card and wrote her true age. What a Cow !!!

What’s the latest on the pioneer hours changing? Nothing seems to be happy on the JW world. My Elder friend thinks I’m wrong about this. And the new tract will be released in a few weeks. anyone have any real news???
Interesting to note is that I’ve heard other ‘brothers’ claim that they also heard that the pioneer hours are going to be lower, making me think that a lot of JW’s read these "apostate" websites.

it's difficult to describe 'being', in a way it is total acceptance of all that is & is not in this very moment.
all in all it was a great experience & i'm going back again.

Should Prostitution Be Legalized???
by minimus inrecently, in the news were reports of 90 plus year old men being arrested for soliciting prostitutes.
i believe the charges were dropped.
and the vast majority of people polled thought that police should worry less about prostitutes and johns and more about city government waste.. your thoughts?.

Prostitution is already legal, there are many Legal brothels where the girls pay Tax’s for their income, its street prostitution that’s illegal, and when the Government find a way of controlling it, and charges Tax’s then they make that legal also.
